ABOUT US

Henry & Co Design is a boutique residential design firm based in New York City.  Stephanie Woodmansee and Elle Clymer co-founded Henry & Co Design on a mutual belief that a home should be meaningful and enjoyed, always reflecting a client’s personality and aesthetic. Henry & Co Design offers a distinct and fresh perspective while preserving the importance of classical design and architecture.

Stephanie and Elle bring creativity and knowledge to each project. They understand the importance of designing a space that balances chic sophistication with timeless ease. Henry & Co Design loves to combine documentary prints with unexpected patterns, rich in texture and color. They are always on the hunt for one-of-a-kind pieces that speak uniquely to the spaces they are creating.

STEPHANIE

Stephanie discovered her passion for design and architecture at a very young age.  Through her parent’s love of renovating old New England homes, she invited the challenges and charm of each new house and took redesigning of her bedrooms very seriously. Stephanie learned the level of detail and patience necessary to create a quality space. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from The University of Colorado in Boulder and later refined her design skills at the Art Institute of Colorado.  Stephanie credits her extensive design knowledge to time spent at a high-end residential design firm in New York City.  She lives on the Upper East Side with her husband and can be found exploring the city with her grey poodle, Henry.

ELLE

Growing up in the Midwest, Elle always enjoyed the chance to tag along with her mom to local estate sales, flea markets, and antique stores. This instilled a deep appreciation for collecting unique and quality pieces over time.  Elle stayed close to home attending the University of Kansas where she graduated with a degree in Business/Marketing. Ready for adventure, Elle moved to New York City where she worked in event planning designing spaces for high-end galas and fundraisers. Realizing that she had a true passion for more intimate interiors, Elle attended Parsons New School of Design and went on to work for a residential design firm on the Upper East Side.  Elle lives in Chelsea with her husband, daughter, and their very ornery French bulldog, Commodore (aka. Co).
